Beforethecagedoorcloses (BCDC) rankings are out! Our team of data science experts has worked tirelessly to create a solid foundation to produce the most accurate and reliable BCDC rankings possible. We utilize a variety of statistical methods, including linear regression, to analyze a fighter’s performance in various statistical categories and their success in the UFC. This allows us to identify which statistical categories are most important for predicting a fighter’s success.
Linear regression is a statistical method that helps us analyze the relationship between two or more variables. In our case, we use linear regression to identify the statistical categories that are most important for predicting a fighter’s success in the UFC. For example, we may find that a fighter’s grappling skills and takedown defense are more important than their striking accuracy and control time.
Once we have identified the most important statistical categories, we use linear regression to determine the optimal weights to assign to each category in our rankings. For example, we may set a minimum win percentage threshold of 60% to ensure that only fighters who have won at least 60% of their UFC fights are included in our rankings.
By combining statistical analysis and expert knowledge, our goal is to produce the most accurate and reliable rankings possible. Our rankings are updated on a regular basis to reflect the latest results and changes in the UFC landscape, ensuring that our rankings remain relevant and up-to-date.

Our monthly updated rankings currently identify Kamara Usman as the clear P4P best fighter. Usman has the highest IQ in the game right now and has all the skills to compete at any weight class.
