Predict the Outcome in Kickboxing

Kickboxing is a sport where two competitors with backgrounds in kickboxing martial arts fight each other in a ring using versatile techniques involving striking (punching, kneeing, and kicking). A fighter can win through knockout, technical knockout (i.e., the loser forces the referee to stop the fight), or the display of superior skills in both defense and attack to win more points from the judges.

Glory Kickboxing is a niche market of hardcore fans. Mostly, Badr fans. (If you know him, then you know.) If you are someone who is just getting into fighting sports, that is perfectly fine. Everybody is a beginner at some point.

First, in Glory Kickboxing, about 2/3 of the time, the fight’s outcome will be a judge’s decision. If you are thinking of placing a bet on an outcome, this one stat will help you no matter the fight. However, weight classes and fighters do play a significant factor in the result of the fight.

If a fight is 50 – 50 odds, a bettor has a 67% chance of it going to the judges for a decision. Based on the law of large numbers, -110 bets (or 50 -50 odds) is a breakeven win rate of 52.4%. If the fight goes to a decision, you will have a 15% edge.
